Very pretty shawl. Looks very inviting like getting a big hug from someone when you need it. The written instructions are on the website, but it looks like there is an error with instructions pictures they had posted at once time because they do not show up only a warning triangle where they used to be.

I am unable to view pattern for Healing Prayer Shawl Crochet. Is there a way I am able to obtain this pattern. I love the idea of 10mm hook as have yarn from many years ago that would make my patients a lovely shawl. LorraineK

A relative works at a chronic care facility and a group of friends meet for an afternoon every month where we crochet prayer shawls or knee blankets for the patients. Their joy at receiving the gift is beyond words and this beautiful shawl design is definitely the next one I will be making. I am thinking it will quite possibly make a lovely small blanket as well so that may be what Ill be making after this.

As a recipient of a Prayer Shawl I felt truly blessed that someone thought enough of me to give me one. As the years go by and I continue to recover from multiple strokes, and I see that prayer shawl, it gives me the peace and joy I felt the day I received it. So yes, there is a power that is extended to the recipient whether you call it a 'healing", a blessing, or any other name you choose. The giving of a gift to someone that could use a little cheer is very powerful. Even on my worst days, I remember the day I got it and how unexpected it was and how it made me feel. To all that do make them, Thank you and please continue regardless of snide remarks others may make.

its not the shawel, but its the prayer and comfort , when soneone give one to you. it the love that come with when someone takes the time to make one. healing comes from god and not a shawel.

I am saddened for you to say this shawl has Healing Power! How could it? Someone goes to store, buys the yarn, and crochets it, and "IT" has healing power??? Shame on you! I was offended by your whole Church Approved theme, but this certainly is the worst. No matter what denomination you are, that is awful. If someone is comforted by a "Prayer Shawl", I would not condem it, but a HEALING??? NO WAY

Healing starts with the mind, if it gives someone else comfort to know that this piece was prayed up on while making it why discount on thier beliefs if they are not your own??? There go "IT" does have healing powers if only for a split second in that persons life they have a moment of peace of mind, that is HEALING...
