This is such a pretty hot pad pattern. I love the effect of the front post and back post crochet stitches. It really does look like a sun! This would be the perfect addition to anyones kitchen. I would make several though, if you are planning to give one away, because everyone you know will want one.

It'll take a little bit of practice working you front post back post double crochets, but you must if you want to get that raised up spiral effect on the hot pad. The yellow used comes off as washed out in the photo. I am sure it is not, and a sunshine yellow is indeed the perfect color for this!

this is a beautiful pattern but I must admit am having trouble with the back fpdc. but then i am sort of new to this. I will get it tho. thank you for posting. am trying to make one or two for my granddaughter who just moved out on her own.

The link to the pattern does not work. It redirects to webring.org, which apparently requires you to sign up and become a member, in order to view the pattern. Either that, or the pattern is simply gone from the ring.

This is a great pattern. I single crocheted two togetherback to back and made a potholder for my daughter-in-law as a gift. It's nice and thick and really cute. Thanks for posting this!
