Since my husband discovered his very distant (pre-1650) Scandanavian heritage, I usually keep a few items around the house to honor his lineage. I really like this pillow, so I may work it up for Fathers Day. The pattern is simple enough, but if youve never worked join as you go, you might have to do some additional research as this pattern doesnt really explain it.

I think this is an absolutely beautiful color motif pattern! I love working with motifs. They work up quickly and make me feel like I am making loads of progress. They only downside is the sewing together part that is not really fun for me. More of a chore. But in the case of a small toss pillow, I suppose that would not be too, too bad. Not too much sewing. I just LOVE the white background. I am used to always using black! White is so refreshing and perfect for spring and summer.

After re-reading this pattern several times, the color sequences still do not make sense. I will follow the picture. Intend to make an afghan. Thanks for the pattern.
