"My Strawberry Applique is made from crocheted hearts of two different sizes. To make it just crochet hearts according to the instructions and then sew them together as shown in the picture. Finished Size: Strawberry is about 2-1/8” (5.5 cm). Materials: cotton crochet thread size 3 in red cotton crochet thread size 10 in green cotton crochet thread size 3 in black or white – for the seeds crochet hook D/3 - 3.25 mm crochet hook size 8/1.5 mm black 11/0 glass seed beads or beads of your choice – optional"

Appliques can really make a difference between a nice project and a great one. I particularly love to use them on childrens hats because appliqus add a whimsical touch to what is normally a plain hat. That can make a genuine difference when youre selling an item or want it to be a memorable gift. Ive even thought about designing my own signature appliqu, and this designer has certainly planted the seed!
