"This easy peasy coaster is a companion piece to the Little Dots, Big Dots Infinity Scarf. Skills Used Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch Crocheting in the round, increasing Skill Level Easy Finished Size Coaster: 5” (13 cm) diameter. Materials Wool and the Gang Shiny Happy Cotton yarn (100% Pima cotton, 3.5 oz/100 g/155 yd/142 m) – 1 skein in Out of Space Dyed 101 Dots, or approximately 22 yd (20 m) in any medium weight cotton yarn. US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge. Yarn needle. Gauge Motif = 5” (13 cm) diameter in pattern. Exact gauge is not critical for this project."

The rationale for this coaster is extremely confusing. Why would you want to make a coaster that matches an infinity scarf? However, if you go to the link for the pattern itself, youll see that this project is actually part of a collection of both knit and crochet Winter White projects that the designer has put together. THAT makes a lot more sense, and happily, shes included the other projects at the end of her post.

So with one skein of this Wool and the Gang cotton yarn, I can make (if my math is correct) a set of six coasters. I love the space dyed effect on this yarn! Does it come in other colors? I would love to make them in black with bright candy colors for the flecks. I will have to research that. Love these!

Cotton yarn rules! This coaster is an easy peasy crochet pattern designed to add a handmade touch to your home and it works up so quickly and helps keep all those white marks off your beautiful furniture. I have such a large surplus of cotton yarn that I could make these in almost every color.
