"Sometimes it’s hard to create simple texture with chunky or bulky yarn, but the Swirl Pop Beanie made it simple. This beanie is also very versatile for anyone to wear and can be made in any color combo! The Swirl Pop Beanie is great for the chunky variegated yarn! If you can crochet basic crochet stitches and do the occasional front post stitch, you will be able to whip this beanie up in now time! Remember you can always add a pom pom to give it a little extra pop!"

Im not sure whats cuterthe hat or the model! This beanie is available in sizes Infant through Adult, but unlike several other similar projects from this same designer, this pattern does call for Bulky yarn. While she doesnt include a photo or video tutorial for the hat itself, she does provide a nice one for creating the poms. She uses the wrap method which is fine for occasional use, but if you make lots of poms, invest in the Clover Pom Makers. Theyre not that expensive and come on several sizes.

Worked with a "K" hook, this will give you an idea as to how chunky this hat actually is! You cannot tell that just from looking at the picture. There are enough sizes provided to cover everyone. Perhaps a great pattern for a family photo op? I love this beanie. Thank your for sharing it.
