Frankenstein Hat

My husband, kids and I LOVE Halloween so it only made sense for me to design a hat inspired by the anguished monster of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. This hat is quick and easy to make. There aren't a lot of pieces to sew on which means less ends to weave in! Yay for that! You'll need worsted weight yarn in black, white and green and crochet hooks in sizes J 6mm and H 5mm. Enjoy!

Easy

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook, J/10 or 6 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet GaugeCrochet gauge: 15 dc= 4”, 7 rows= 3"

Finished SizeAll Sizes: 0/3 months- adult

This is a cute take on the classic Frankenstein monster. The designer gives instructions on how to adjust the pattern for various sizes from Infant to Adult. The earflaps and braids are optional so you could work the final round with a Crab Stitch for a neater finish. The hair is embroidered on the top of the hat, and the other features are sewn into place.

Make this hat with the ear flaps! It looks awesome with the flaps and the tri-colored braided tassels. I think it is the perfect finishing touch to this Halloween Frankenstien's monster hat. Even for an adult this is super fun to look at and to wear. Thanks for this new pattern.
