Cranberry Twist Slouchy Bonnet

"This free crochet pattern for a festive, slouchy bonnet, or hat is easy to make once you get the hang of the repeats, and looks so cute! The main part of this hat is worked back and forth, like rows, but they are joined at the end with a slip stitch, before turning, and heading back the direction you just came. Over-all it's pleasantly slouchy, has a nice big brim, and fluffy pom-poms (because pom-poms make everything better--well almost). Take on winter in style! Includes both adult and child sizes. An extra suggestion: add a lining to make this hat even warmer!"

NotesPlease adjust hook size to match gauge measurements, if needed.

After 16 straight days of 90 temps, we finally got a break and we woke up to abnormally low temps. Nothing like cool weather to make me start thinking about crocheting hats, and this is a real treasure! This really is more of a bonnet than hat since the brim is so wide. The designer has posted instructions for both child and adult sizes. Ive made some of her other patterns, so Im really looking forward to treating myself with this one.

I love the color of this hat! Cranberry is one of the trendiest colors for fall. I can never resist a cute hat with poms!

This hat is such a pretty color! I hope my craft store has a similar color in stock.

This is a super cute bonnet or as I call them slouchy hats. I cant wait to try it. It almost looks like it was knitted instead of crocheted. I enjoy working with Kristins patterns and projects and check her blog often. The pomp oms are the perfect ending touch especially the two smaller ones on the ties.
