Ive never heard of this charity, but as a former social worker, I am sadly well aware of the cause. Im probably too late for this year, but Ill absolutely look into where I can donate for next year. Meanwhile, I can use this same pattern for my regular preemie and newborn hats. One of our area hospitals will accept donations only as part of their merchant gift basket for new parents.

I love the reason behind the design of this baby hat. There definitely needs to be more education on the horrible effects that shaking a baby can cause. I really hope it helps decrease the deaths and other outcomes from this issue. This hat is really cute and is still a great gift for any parent to receive. Thank you for sharing this.

What a great back story on this little beanie. It was designed for a very worthy cause. There is so much child abuse in the US today. So sad. The pattern for this beanie is explained very well. Directions are easy to follow and understand. This is also a quick make project. Perfect for a baby gift or for donating.

While it is indeed make this beanie for CLICK donations for shaken baby/purple crying period charity, the beanie is so nice and pretty that you can make it anyway. What a pretty stitch pattern that makes it look so textural. You will want to be touching it all the time.

I agree. Great hat / great cause.
