Cluster Burst Afghan
It's not uncommon to have a giant pile of yarn scraps and not know what to do with them. Try this Cluster Burst Afghan crochet pattern that is colorful, fun, and easy to work up with those tiny pieces of yarn! Each little granny square doesn't use that much yarn by itself, but the effect of the whole afghan is spectacular. The colors really do burst out at you from the neutral-hued background, which makes this crochet afghan pattern a great accent piece for your living room or bedroom. Use your weekend to create this fun scrappy afghan.

This afghan is lovely. I am in love with the border. The colors are beautiful, cheerful, and bright. I would love to make one for myself. I will start it one day when I have some extra free time and all the yarns colors pre bought. It is very stunning. This project will help use up my stash of yarn.

Just me again. I also enlarged the star and the stripe pattern and made a pillow to go with it. Really looks great on the couch, now the 4th of July is close. Deanna

When using scraps is it OK to use different weights and content yarns, eg acrylic and wool?

i always do, however, it can throw the gauge off....and sometimes there are issues when washing...but what the heck...sometimes the different textures are just what is needed to give your art work a unique appearance...
