"The Erin gilet made with faux fur chunky yarn and 12mm hook Gorgeous and soft inside and out. Gilets are a winter must have for wearing over a jumper/dress for that extra layer of style and warmth. The finished item is long, with lots of ease and long arm holes for wearing over other clothing. Pattern is written in sizes 12m - Adult large with construction images to help you construct pieces. Beginners - intermediate written in us terms with just the sc stitch. Its a simple design that works up very quickly - a junior can be completed in 2 hours The completed item looks professionally made, you can not tell this item is crochet. No stitches are visible. This would make a great present for Christmas that will be worn time and time again, at any age! Aww! I have to admit that I did not know what a gilet was so I googled it. I always learn something new every day and this was it. When I see this faux fur gilet I think of vikings or something similiar. This is just too adorable.

I had never heard of a gilet. I had to look it up. It is a padded vest. The term "gilet" does make it sound really special. I love vests or gilets like this. It adds a nice extra layer. This will be easy to make and I know one special little girl who will love. It will be easy to convert to adult size as well. Thank you.

Reading above, it shows that you can make this faux furry eyelash yarn one button vest in a full range of sizes, all the way up to adult...I do not, however, find that on the actual pattern page -( I was hoping to make this for myself for the winter. I wear a lot of solid colored tunics and something like this would have been great to layer over it.
