Im not exactly sure why this hat is designated for a baby girl. There arent any little frills or furibows to give it a feminine look at all. The beanie is pretty standard although I would probably work an extra row or two of color around the bottom. I already have another star pattern that is very similar to this one. If I were making this for a boy, I might be tempted to swap out an anchor appliqu instead.

Cute baby girl beanie to celebrate Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veteran's Day. Also, dare I say that this hat is not so overly novelty looking that it cannot be worn with other outfits and time of the year. You could even omit the star altogether if you so desire, and you'd have a matching hat for Brother! -)
