I have been searching for a circular project to crochet. I think I just found it. I love the added texture that can be seen in this pattern. I cannot wait to get started. My close friend is expecting a baby girl and I believe she will love this in pink, yellow or perhaps white.

This is an adorable modern circle preemie blanket. If you choose to continue working in the round, this can be a toddler blanket as well. I am in agreement with the designer in that making a circular blanket makes the homemade item that much more special and unique.

This is the first time Ive seen a baby blanket worked up solely as a circle without any additional trim or design. Ive wrapped up plenty of babies in my time, and Im trying to imagine how a circle would work as opposed to a square or rectangle. This design is only approximately 20 inches across, and thats not very large if youre trying to accomplish the baby burrito wrap style. Probably wont make this one.
