Floral Table Mat

"Whether you just want to protect the top of your surfaces or you like the more decorative element of table mats, this little beauty will give a romantic feel to any room. Use it on your coffee table, end tables, night stands or even on top of your microwave. The options are endless! This super cute table mat is made using size 1 super fine yarn (sock yarn) and it's incredibly light weight and soft! The super fine yarn gives this table mat a little substance without being too bulky. You will also need a G/6 (4.25mm) hook."

Ive been giving this project a lot of thought, and although I tend to lean toward a more colorful palette, I really like the monotone look of this one. I love how this is made up of just small squares and half squares, and how that wonderful border ties it all together. This project is well written and illustrated with close up photos, too.

What a very pretty pattern. It is also a very easy one too and doesn't take much in the way of materials. I think it's going to be my next project on my to do list. I want to make it into a table runner and matching place mats as a gift at a bridal shower.
