This is a very attractive way to display your crochet snowflakes. Sometimes the intricate design can be lost but by backing them you can see just how beautiful the item really is. I like that the designer used different color backing and hanging elements. Great project.

Did anyone else notice that the directions are in a language other than English? Impressive. Instead of having to stiffen the snowflakes, applying a backing to them will make them sturdy. Not all of them would have to have the felt backing attached but it does make the project interesting .

Make sure to hit the translate button when visiting the bloggers site because it is not in English. These ornaments are very cute. This is a hybrid project as it requires crochet plus a couple of other techniques in order to complete these ornaments. All in all they are still easy to make.

This is more of a general crafting project than strictly crochet. Clicking on the pattern link takes the reader to a Dutch website although the instructions are also written in English. There are no instructions for the crochet portion it just states to crochet a star that will then be attached to the felt circle. Lots of good photos though. I have used similar crafts when working at an assisted living facility.
