Trim the tree with homemade items this year. These Winter Wonderland Ornaments are an easy and festive way to decorate for the holiday. Combine your crochet and sewing skills to complete this easy crochet pattern for Christmas. Felt and crochet thread are both used. Embellish the finished product with beads, charms, or buttons of your choice. These would also work well as gift toppers for your holiday presents, too.

This is a very attractive way to display your crochet snowflakes. Sometimes the intricate design can be lost but by backing them you can see just how beautiful the item really is. I like that the designer used different color backing and hanging elements. Great project.

Did anyone else notice that the directions are in a language other than English? Impressive. Instead of having to stiffen the snowflakes, applying a backing to them will make them sturdy. Not all of them would have to have the felt backing attached but it does make the project interesting .

Make sure to hit the translate button when visiting the bloggers site because it is not in English. These ornaments are very cute. This is a hybrid project as it requires crochet plus a couple of other techniques in order to complete these ornaments. All in all they are still easy to make.

This is more of a general crafting project than strictly crochet. Clicking on the pattern link takes the reader to a Dutch website although the instructions are also written in English. There are no instructions for the crochet portion it just states to crochet a star that will then be attached to the felt circle. Lots of good photos though. I have used similar crafts when working at an assisted living facility.
