The Best Ruffle Wrap

This free crochet pattern from Premier Yarns really is The Best Ruffle Wrap you can find. Even though it is shown in a luxurious red that we love, you can work it up in another color if that suits you better. The red crochet shawl pattern is also perfectly festive for the holiday season and is sure to bring you cheer all through the winter months. Cocoon yourself in warmth and comfort no matter if you're holed inside to avoid the blizzard or taking a refreshing walk with just the right amount of chill.

    • B: Beige (4 skeins)
    • C: Syrah (6 skeins)

60" x 18 "

8sc = 4"

Open up a length of both A and B. Overlap A onto B along one long edge by about ½” (A is on top, B is on the bottom).
Row 1: Insert hook through both layers 1” from the ends, grab a small portion of B and pull through A – 1 loop on hook.* Insert hook through both layers 1” from previous entry points, grab B and pull through A (2 loops on hook), then pull through first loop on hook (1 loop on hook). Rep from * until Stole measures 60”. Cut both yarns 2” from end. With sewing needle and thread, secure final loop.

Open up a length of C. Overlap other long edge of previous B length with this new length of C (B is on top, C is on the bottom). Rep Row 1. Continue in this manner with another A length, then B length, then C length – 6 “stripes” total.

Be sure the seams are all on the same side of the Stole.

With sewing needle and thread, fold and sew a narrow hem along ends of stole.

I guess you would just have to have the special yarn in hand just to see how this would work. I searched the Premier Yarns site and looked for the pattern based on the yarn and could not find it anywhere.

This is really very unique. I love the long drape of the wrap and I would really like to attempt to make it. I can see that there are issues with the pattern directions. I hope to come back and find some updates or improvements.

I thought the instructions were kind of weird, but then I read below and discovered that the yarn is a specialty yarn that is actually ruffled! THe look of this wrap is stunning and so beautiful! I can picture myself rocking this with black leggings and booties in the fall. I am loving the color combinations, too. I wonder how much a skein this specialty yarn will cost? I would need several to make this...

OK, So I didn't realize this is a special yarn, since it just said super chunky. This is very confusing and with the picture so small it's really difficult to figure out.

I am very confused. I love this look. Is there a special yarn? I don't understand the overlapping? It does not sound like crochet to me. Anyone else figure it out? I tried to look up the pdf link but it was a page not found.

The secret is the yarn it is ruffled so you just put it together. Is this correct?

It's a beautiful wrap. And I think the pattern is correct, you have to use Couture Jazz-yarn. It's ruffeld yarn.

looks like you make a striped strip with 3 colors, then I would make another 3 color strip 2 or 3 times as long to make the wide ruffle. I did send an email to premier yarns about it. They call it the Holiday Stole. ==

Where is the pattern?

I agree with everyone elses comments! I too would like to make this pattern. But most of the instructions are missing. Please upload the rest of the pattern!!

Here is the PDF link. It's no help. I emailed Cascade yarns about it. I suggest everyone else to do the same. ==

I tried, and I can't get to it. It said the site is down or gone.

Ahhh, is it just me or is the entire pattern for making shawl missing? The little I see is for putting it together. It's so unique I'd like to try it... help!

Hello, those are the complete instructions from Premier Yarn. If you need help, you can call the design team at 1-888-458-3588. Hope that helps!

I can't find an actual pattern for this project. I would really like to make it, but even the Premier Yarns website doesn't have a patter for this. Help! How do we get the pattern?

Might just be me, but this pattern doesn't make sense. What are we 'overlapping' the yarn onto? I really want to make this, I guess I'll wing it. P.S. I did check the original site. Pattern is still confusing to me.
