Special stitch:
Treble Cluster
* Yo 2 times, insert hook into same st, yo, pull back through, yo, pull through first 2 loops, yo, pull through next 2 loops, leave loops on hook, repeat from * 2 more times, yo,pull through all loops remaining on hook

How to Crochet a Snowflake

  1. Rnd 1: Ch 5, sl st to the first ch to join.

  2. Rnd 2: Ch 3, yo 2 times, insert hook into same st, yo, pull back through, yo, pull through first 2 loops, yo, pull through next 2 loops, leave loops on hook, yo 2 times, insert hook into same st, yo, pull back through, yo, pull through first 2 loops, yo, pull through next 2 loops, yo, pull through all loops remaining on hook (cluster complete). 

  3. Continuing onto the top section, ch 3, sl st to the first ch of the last ch 3, * ch 3, sl st to the first ch 3 of the FIRST ch 3, repeat from * one more time, ch 2, in the next st, ** cluster (see Special Stitch).

  4. Continuing onto the top section, ch 3, sl st to the first ch of the last ch 3, * ch 3, sl st to the first ch 3 of the FIRST ch 3, repeat from * one more time, ch 2, repeat from ** to complete rnd, sl st to the first CH 1 space from the top section to join.  Fasten off.
