David Bowie Lightning Bolt Crochet Necklace

"The infamous lightning bolt slashed across the face of Aladdin Sane on the cover of that album from 1973. Whilst Aladdin Sane was a new character, he was described by Bowie as, "Ziggy goes to America..." This necklace is crocheted in 2ply cottons with a 1.5mm crochet hook. I also used necklace notions. If you want to make a face sized one to look like good old Davo on his album cover, you can use DK acrylic yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. A quick, easy pattern that will take less than an hour."

I was a big fan of Bowie, especially his earlier works. My oldest son still has some of the original vinyl, so I think Ill surprise him with this project. My son wouldnt wear a necklace if his life depended on it, but this project would make a nice appliqu to sew onto a solid black watch cap. So glad this was posted.

This Bowie lightening bolt necklace? It may be the coolest thing I have seen that I can crochet myself. I know for a fact that I would get looks and comments everywhere I go when I am wearing this necklace. It'll work up so fast and it is very easy to make, even for beginners. Give yourself a tiny bit of a challenge and practice your beginner skills with this super cool project. I am saving this one.
