My Simple Star Coaster is a really cute design and it's an easy crochet pattern for you to work up. It's made in only four rounds giving you the chance to make many coasters in a short period of time. Use all different colors for a fun setup.

This star pattern is similar to several others Ive seen but I like that its a larger size. If I were working this for Christmas, I would work some stars in red and some in green, and then use the opposite colored yarn to work a Single Crochet or other border around the entire star. If you continued and worked a chained loop, it would be pretty as an ornament or gift embellishment, too.
