Celtic Bottle Bag

search

"I like to give handmade gifts whenever appropriate. I find even if I’m giving a bottle of wine, a crocheted gift bag is always appreciated. With Father’s Day around the corner, I thought this was the perfect time to design a practical gift with Dad in mind! The Celtic Bottle Bag is available with two options. The first is a combination of the Celtic weave pattern with a band of tapestry crochet in the center, that has been customized with the word “DAD” on it. The second is intended for more generic gift giving and is worked in the Celtic weave all the way up to the handles. If you haven’t tried these techniques, don’t worry, I have a series of tutorials to help you along. Worked in worsted weight yarn. Size: As shown, approximately 13” tall"

This is a really nice projects, and combines two of my favorite design elementstapestry and Celtic weave. My dad wasnt a big wine drinker, but he would have loved all the interesting craft beers available today. This project would also make a wonderful holiday gift, too. Not just for Christmaswhy not work it up in Halloween or Thanksgiving colors?

What a neat gift. It's very easy too. I read the directions and they are very basic and easy to follow. My father passed away many years ago but there are people I want to make this to give to as a gift. I am thinking of doing them in Christmas colors for holiday gifting.
