Groovy Llama

"The Groovy Llama was loosely inspired by Kuzco from The Emperor's New Groove. His fur is made with the loop stitch, then cut and brushed to add fluff. He stands 14 inches tall at the tips of his ears. The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn and a G (4.25 mm) hook, but you could easily make him bigger with bulky yarn or smaller with dk weight. His expressive eyes and big ears make him the life of the party, and a great gift for any llama enthusiast or child."

Llama's get a really bad rap and all because of the spitting issue that have. Hey, we all have our bad points. Having one cutie like this will surely give the llama a few brownie points. I am really loveing the comical blue used here as well.

There was a series of children's book that my children enjoyed when they were growing up that had a llama as the main character. This would have been a great prop while story telling. At this time, I do not have any grands but I will keep this pattern on hand and use it in the future as a wonderful gift along with a few great books.

I thought that little fellow looked familiar. The Emperors New Groove is one kid movie we actually dont own but we have seen it. This is a cute project, and while I appreciate the instructional video for the feet, I wish the designer had just gone ahead and filmed the entire project. If not that, then at least some more photos showing how the pieces are worked and assembled.

Thank you for your feedback! I'm planning on making a video of it, actually, in the coming week or so. ) It will be posted at the same address. --Designer

Thank you, for this and any video you can add. Beggars can't be choosers and you do this for free but I do appreciate your time and talent. My fianc has alpacas and I think with a smaller body and some cosmetic work to the ears and head I can use this to make one!

There are now videos posted for the head assembly and the creation of the Neck/Front legs piece.
