I am not sure what I like most about this, the ripple effect or the colors that are used to create it. This is a conversation starter to say the least and would add a big POP of color no matter where you choose to display it.

This is so pretty. For a second, this reminds me of "Rubix" how the stairs were different shades going up the pyramid. For those of us that are not shy about colors, this may be the perfect project for you to complete.

When I was learning how to crochet at a very young age, one of my first pieces was a rippled blanket just like this one, however, without the black accents. I had that crocheted throw for a very long time but do not know what happened to it. This pattern makes me want to make another one. If I do, I will include the black accents.

This blanket is easy to adapt in size. The one shown pictured is made pretty big, but with half the yarn you can also make a decently sized throw. The pattern is written in US terms, and there is included a chart for the ripple too, and a very nicely done photo tutorial for the fringe. The pattern is suitable for beginning crocheters.

Love the retro look of this awesome afghan. The black accents the colors so well and makes them really pop. I havent calculated to cost yet, but I can imagine this isnt a cheap project because it requires quite a bit of yarn in a lot of different colors. The fringe is the perfect finishing touch.

such a colorful pattern perfect for across the sofa or a bed. The fringes really make the blanket very classic. This is another pattern I will have to try.

There are so many cool patterns out there for ripple and chevron blankets. The problem is that I feel like I want to make them allllll! The thing that sets this blanket apart from the others, I think, is the contrasting black rows between the colored rows. That is what makes the blanket "pop"! There is also an addition of fringe, which you don't really see in ripple blankets.

Such a great design and perfect for a childs room! Our 12 year old son has been wanting a new look for his room and, because he loves anything bright and bold, this is going to be a really good thing to start with. The colors are so bright and happy that it is really going to be fun to crochet and it is nice and big too so lovely and cuddly in winter.
