I adore these colorful, mandala like squares. If youve ever worked a Granny before youll recognize most of the stitches. The designer has provided a nicely augmented photo of the trickiest stitch (the Post Stitch Decrease). For the record, it is VERY easy to get confused between Popcorns and Puffs, so I always appreciate it when the designer tells the crafter exactly how many stitches should remain on the hook before the final completion.

Apparently, I have been working the popcorn stitch all wrong! I learn something new almost everyday. Did you know that this granny square pattern is a full 12" in size? I would make a great pillow cover from it, sewing two together. Or, use one granny for the front, and make a solid color single crochet back in a coordinating solid color.
