"12 months, 12 squares, and lots of fun tapestry designs. The 2018 Tapestry Square Afghan Project is going to be a fun way to try out the technique and make a fun blanket by December. This month’s square is perfect for the hotter months of the year. Who else thinks of Summer, sun, bbq, and running through sprinklers when they see watermelon? It just reads as a happy Summer design. You may sell all finished products made from this pattern; however you may not share, sell, or distribute this pattern in any way, in whole or in part. I would greatly appreciate a link back to my shop or this pattern anytime you sell this item online."

Watermelon is my favorite summer time fruit. It is so refreshing on a hot summer's day. It travels and serves well at parties and picnics. This cute watermelon afghan square will be a way to keep that wonderful summer feeling going all year long.

This is so cute. It's also easy as can be. I always carry a blanket or afghan in my car. You just never know when you may need it. From helping at an accident scene, to carrying an injured animal from the road.and this one would be perfect for a picnic. I just have to make it.

I have not heard of tapestry in crochet before I ran across this cute watermelon afghan square. Of course I googled it straight away to see that there is such a thing. I really like when I learn something new while surfing patterns. When I find a new technique that is the one I usally jump on just to broaden my skill set as a crocheter. Thanks for the pattern.

We should not expect anything less from Miss Devine Debris! Her work is so original, I could spot it in a crowd easily. It shows that she knows who she is! All of these novelty themed granny squares are so fun to make and to look at. why not make an entire watermelon afghan? Just pop in some random solid colored squares in there to anchor the delicious watermelon.

This tapestry is so cute. It can be made into a kitchen decor. Or if you have a restaurant then this will make for a great adornment in your cafe or restaurant.

Ive been following along with this designers monthly afghan squares, and like most of the others, this would be great as a stand alone project, too. At eight inches square, its a little bit too big for a coaster, but its just the right size for a dishcloth. The designer gives instructions on how to add a border, and you could work some additional rows if you wanted something larger.

If asked to describe summer, watermelons would be in the description, always. I could see this 8 Tapestry Watermelon Afghan Square pattern used as a cross body bag for your cell phone, lip balm, and other essentials. That would be perfect for the beach during the summer. Or combined with other tapestries, one could make a beach mat.
