I had to do a double take at this picture of this Wilton Gray men scarf. When I first saw it I was sure that the method used to make this was knitting. I was pleasantly surprised to find it it was by crochet. I love the edging on this and with this being wrapped around the models neck once, I am sure it has a good length.

My sweet husband is always complaining when I start a new project. He always asks where is his finished project and I always give him a little smerk. However he will be pleasantly surprised when he finds this under the tree this Christmas. Not just one, but I plan on making two, one in a light hue and a dark hue.

Wow someone is reading my mind, last night I made a pair of fingerless gloves to give my hubby for Christmas using the Herringbone half double crochet stitch. This Wilton Gray Men Scarf will go great with them. The written pattern is well done and easy to follow. I am happy to find this one and will be making it tonight. Thank you so much for sharing this free scarf pattern.

Its always great to find a new mans crochet accessory and now is the perfect time. These will make great add on gifts to what I have already bought for all the guys this year. Love this gray color and will probably stick with this as it seems to go with almost any color jacket. I dont really think the guys mind what color it is.

This is such a nice project for a beginner. The ribbed edges make nicely distinctive ends (I would make them a little longer) and teaches a new skill, too! The designer includes a link to Moogly Blogs excellent video tutorial for the Herringbone Half Double. No need to worry about working the ribbed ends in place either as theyre worked separately and then sewn on. Highly recommended!

This is so easy that you can make it up in no time at all. It's hard to find a scarf in a more manly C design. I think that I may make it in grey but trim it in black. That way it can be worn with either a black or grey coat.

Lovely texture and a manly design, that is for sure. Can't go wrong with gray for your color choice! She has recommended we use a "J" hook. This will of course enable us to achieve the soft drape even though we are sort of cutting corners on our yarn budget by using the basic worsted weight yarn! You can also soften up the yarn before you even work with it by putting the full skein in a lingerie bag and washing it with your detergent of choice. Dry the skein in the dryer and you are done! Ready to use and super soft if you have to use budget yarn. -)
