This is by far one of the cutest elephant hats Ive seen. The designers pretty much assume that the crafter knows how to work a basic beanie. Nearly all the rest of the post is dedicated to showing how to construct the various elephant parts. The designers provide plenty of photos to guide the crafter, and even include a special section on adding braids to the project.

Elephants are not really my spirit animal. I am more of a frog person. I do have a sister in law that loves to collect elephants of all sizes and types. She doesnt have any little ones anymore or I would definitely share this cute pattern with her. The baby pictured in the hat is so adorable.

I love this pattern! It's so cute! I love the fact it doesn't look too difficult to make and it doesn't look like it will take to long. I think I could make this on a weekend. Great baby shower present!
