Im not sure the designer actually intended for the owl head to resemble a stuffed heart, but thats how it turned out. Personally I would crochet a little stuffed tab at the bottom so it could be attached more securely to the blanket portion. When Ive made these in the past, I dont put the blanket Magic Ring tightly until Im attaching the head. Once the stuffed tab is in the hole, I tighten the ring and then sew it securely.

I love this Snuggly Owl Lovey Blanket! The pattern is well written and so easy to understand. The pictures will be helpful for the ones who need them. I can see this laying in the crib or on a bed just waiting to be hugged. I'm looking forward to making a few of these cuties.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I have made a few lovies but this one is down right hands down one of the cutest. There is something about an owl that makes people smile. Maybe it's those big eyes. I read the pattern and it's basically the pattern I have been using on the blanket part. It always makes up nice. I can see this in a black and white pattern.

I love this pattern, it turns out so cute, just perfect for a little one to cuddle and keep with.
