This is for ME! What a perfectly simple and vintage looking shawl/oversized wrap. Everybody needs one of these at home. You know those nights where you just can't get warm in your own house? Yes, this "Simple Granny Shawl" is where it's at. I don't know that particular yarn this she says she used for it. But I think I'd have no problem finding something similar at Michaels. It is a mindless pattern. That means you'll have it memorized after a few minutes! No looking back and forth to your computer screen or paper to follow along with a pattern.

I see some of you are experiencing difficulty in completing this shawl pattern. I'm not the designer, but I have made a few of these shawls in different yarn weights. I would like to help if I can. What part of the pattern is giving you a hard time? I will try to reply if you can reply to my comment. Good luck and don't give up!

I am a beginner and it's hard to follow these instructions. I feel kinda dumb, but how do I understand the pattern? Really want to make this, it's awesome

Beautiful shawl to look at and would love to try and make it. But getting the instructions is a little tricky. It will only take you so far, and no father. And won't give you any instructions.

Love love love the colors and design of this shawl! OMG this is next on my list.

Would love to make the granny shawl, but can't get the instructions to open or download. Rated on download ability. I'm sure it works up beautifully.

It worked fine for me. After you click on "click here for this free crochet pattern" you have to scroll toward the bottom of the post and click on "vintage sweet shawl" where it says: All you have to do is follow the instructions for my Vintage sweet shawl until the shawl is the desired size. Hope that helps.
