"I've been lovestruck with red, white and blue yarn lately and so here is my next freebie, Uncle Sammy. I think he's super cute. I used "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby. My hook size for this project was a 3.5 mm. I didn't want him to be too big. I wanted him to be the right size to be versatile - sit on a shelf, place on a wreath, recline on a bed or sofa. I placed him on my wreath so check it out and see how cute he looks on the wreath."
NotesHe would also make a super great gift for a child or to a veteran to have as a keepsake reminder of his service to our country.

If this creative amigurumi doesnt put you in the patriotic spirit, I dont know what will. This is an easy pattern to work upplenty of photos, toobut there are a few suggestions I would make. I would add an extra row of white around the brim of his hat to make it stand out more against his red face. Id also go with white curly cues instead of the flat crocheted arms and legs. I cant wait to get startedI already have Caron One Pound on standby!
