"With warm weather arriving, a lightweight, lacy accessory that's pretty, and simple to make is just the afternoon project you need! This scarf delivers a simple, but pleasing stitch pattern that is repeated as many times as you want, to make this as wide (or narrow) as you'd like. If you've not experimented with thread yet, this makes a great introduction! It can even be made using other weights of yarn with pleasing results. Additional instructions are included for adjusting the length should you wish to do that."

Crochet HookD/3 or 3.25 mm hook
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet GaugeGauge is not especially important for this project.
Finished SizeFinished scarf should measure approximately 5” wide, by 60" long without fringe, 72" with.

This is the perfect scarf for summer. Light and lacy, it just floats around your neck. Since this scarf is worked lengthwise, you will need to pay attention to your stitch placement for the first row so you dont inadvertently twist the starting Chain. The second row is then repeated for a total of 12 rows (you can work more or less). The ends and tassels are added to the finished center portion.

Very good pattern for a spring or summer. It is Easy too so absolutely no stress in making it, right? I am going to make mine quite a bit wider so that I can wear it as a shawl, firstly because I am a shawl freak but also because, in warmer weather, I simply prefer something around my shoulders than around my neck.
