Primrose and Proper Super Scarf

"This super scarf is warm, cozy, and l-o-n-g--all the things a super scarf should be! The lacy details add elegance, and will keep you looking gorgeous all winter. This versatile scarf can be made in a variety of lengths, and can even be turned into an afghan with enough row repeats. It's also easy enough to follow for those who haven't been crocheting a long time! See the "Additional Notes" section for several different length adjustments."

NotesYou will need to know how to crochet in the "3rd loop" of an hdc: Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back, and you should see another “V”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”, this is called the 3rd loop.

This is a gorgeous scarf, but at eight feet long, I would be tripping over the darn thing. So glad the designer included instructions about how to shorten it because I will definitely be going that route. Im 53, so the five foot version is perfect for me. Havent started on this one yet as Im saving it for an upcoming car trip. A single One Pounder ought to do the trick.

This looks like the kind of scarf that everyone needs in their winter arsenal! This would make a great gift since it would match with anything.

I love this scarf! It's the perfect color, so it would go with every outfit.

It must be Kristin day today on All Free crochet, I think that every link in the whats hot now list has led to her blog, but thats ok Im not complaining because I love her work. This is a super easy super scarf that she has designed. No difficult new stitches to learn. Its all just basic crochet to make a very no basic scarf.

I like the fact that we are given many options for the execution of this scarf. Yes, it is ultimately a scarf pattern, but it can be made into a much wider or longer scarf, or even take it further and create an entire afghan out of the pattern. You must learn how to crochet in a special loop of the hdc. It might not be easy to find at first, but I think you'll get the hang of it!
