I like this pattern for the Houndstooth Scarf and Gloves. I never thought of adding a crocheted pattern to store bought gloves, but love the idea! This pattern is well written and there this no need to cut off and weave in all the ends for the row color changes, just carry the color up and it will be there for the next row. There are some great videos on how to do this, I did a Google search on how to carry the yarn up and it shows a lot of them.. I'll be making this scarf and gloves set, that will make for some nice gifts. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

The way I read the pattern jmontenero is that you DON't cut the yarn with color change.You leave is attached so you can change colors after 2 rows.

Do I have to cut my thread each time I change color or can I carry my yarn at the beginning of the row; I don't like to have knots all over the place from cutting yarn.

I really like the look of this and loved houndstooth as a teen. Glad it's popular again. Will make for my oldest son in deep olive and light tan.
