Hi everyone I am new to crocheting. What is hdc?

Hi connieoliseck 9713 162, hdc stands for "half double crochet" stitch. Our guide to crochet abbreviations also has instructions for how to crochet the half double crochet stitch. Here is a link to the guide: https://www.allfreecrochet.com/Basics/Crochet-Abbreviations. I hope this helps! - Laura, editor of AllFreeCrochet

My eldest daughter has very short hair and it's adorable. The only problem is that during the winter she absolutely freezes all the time because her neck is uncovered. Because this is an "easy" pattern I'm going to take it and create a week's worth (so to speak) in different colors that will fit within her wardrobe colors. They'll look great on her and her neck will stay warm too! Thanks for helping me mark one gift off my Christmas list!

I love these quick, simple projects! With a large Q hook in hand and a single skein of Super Bulky yarn, just about anyone can work this up in a flash. The pattern calls for joining a chain and then working Half Double Crochet all around, but it would be just as easy (and a lot less likely to twist) if you just work a Half Double Foundation instead.

You may use this 50 Minute Easy Crocheted Scarf pattern in a particular color to match a top or outfit. You can make this in a jiffy if there's an occasion where you want to use this beautiful scarf. You can make this scarf in a color of your choice.

Great little fill in project. I like to work these quickie projects in between my main projects to give my hands a little break and to help use up some left over yarns. Love finding these little treasures on your site. I use projects like this to experiment on different yarn types and weight.

I like the stitches used in the pattern, so think this might look even better with the bigger 19.0-mm S-hook! )

I am not sure how to translate Round 3 of 50 minute easy crocheted scarf. Can someone help? Thank you.

hello, just wanted to say that i enjoy your site but the patterns are very difficult to REALLY see the patterns of the scarves, etc. can not you drape them in a better way. thanks

All of these articles with the patterns and photos are submitted by each individual author of the pattern, so the editors aren't able to really do anything about how well they're displayed or modeled in the photographs. Srry.

please help me im trying to get patterns for chunky crochet cowl and 1/2 skein crochet cowl nbut my computer says domain not supported Is there another way to get these patterns. Please email venture273@aol.com if you can help. thanks
