This is an awesome potholder pattern. I love that it is named the rib stitch, like in knitting. The best suggestion I have for this pattern, aside from definitely using the cotton as suggested, would be to use two strands at a time so the potholder is double the thickness. This will ensure that you do not get burnt if you use the potholder to pull a hot dish from the oven. I will definitely give this a shot and see how it compares to the potholders I normally make.
