Will the nylon melt?

The author addressed this question in the blog. She said she heated a pan in the oven at 450 degrees and then set it on the pad, and it did not melt. She was worried about the same thing happening. I hope this helped! This really is a great pattern, and one I will likely be trying in the future for something different.
