Phoebe Asymmetrical Poncho

Crochet ponchos are great pattern and wardrobe choices that can be worn all year-round. Wear them over a tank or swimsuit in the summer for a light extra layer, or you can toss a thicker one on over a t-shirt for some warmth in the fall.

"Phoebe is a lightweight poncho that is perfect to dress up your summer wardrobe. It is quick and easy to make, so it’s a great beginner project. Phoebe is a poncho that only increases on one side, so it can be worn sideways for an asymmetrical look, or long in front and short in back."

I t is not often that I search for beginner patterns and I just happen to run across this one. I love a challenge but I also love to get a project done to feel a sense of accomplishment. This is the perfect project for just that. In a short time, I can have a complete project and be able to add it to my wardrobe.

This Phoebe Asymmetrical poncho is really a true beginner project. There are only two lines of directions. Not to toot my my own horn but I could probably get this one done in a day if I can keep the house quite long enough. These would make great gifts. Making more than one would be a good idea because someone is gonna want yours.

I really love when a pattern can be used in different ways and this poncho is on of those patterns. You can move it around depending on the look you want, but it is also light enough that you could wear it like a scarf or shawl. It is also perfect when you need some coverage.

I am in love with the look of this silk yarn! It looks like speckles of confetti or sprinkles. I bet it is really light and airy even on warm days. It is SO beautiful. Find this at a boutique and you'd be hard pressed to come up with the money to pay for it. I am sure the silk yarn is not cheap. But it is still less than a pricey, fancy boutique! This stitch pattern is one of my go to for ponchos.

Simple and easy patterns usually make such great projects and look so lovely just like this one. I am looking forward to making this poncho. I will exchange the silk yarn called for in this pattern for just regular yarn that is a little less costly. Love to stock up on the basics when they are on sale.

I really like the shape of this poncho. I also love how this is neutral but there are still subtle colors throughout. It would make a beautiful beach cover-up!

I love the color tones in this. It's subtle so you could wear this with anything, but at the same time it has enough personality on its own, too
