I have been wanting to try to make a basket and this Too Pretty Crochet Basket is just the right size to try. I like all the pictures showing you how it should look and what you should be doing. It sounds so easy too. I'm looking forward to making a few of these baskets to have to fill with candy for the Grandkids. So sweet! Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet basket pattern.

What a cute little basket. Ive been looking for a basket that has a Valentine theme to it so I could make one for all of the girls desks at work and fill them with all sorts of candies for heart day. This would be a perfect basket if made in red and add a little heart applique.

This sweet little basket is worked up almost entirely in Double Crochet. One snag might be that the author gives the entire pattern in UK terms although she does provide a list of equivalent terms at the top. She also recommends using spray starch to stiffen the basket. That would probably work if you only want a slightly stiffened basket, but I personally would use something stronger.
