I made something similar to this last year for a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law. I used the comcept of this pattern and some of the sizing tips and then added a few embellishments to it that I found on a couple of other free patterns that I had seen on another site. She was very happy with it and uses it daily on her Bible.

I like this book cover pattern because it could also be used to cover any valuable book. The ziz-zag pattern is a bold statement and could easily be carried by a male or female. The project looks like it should not take a lot of time to complete and can be easily adjusted to cover larger or smaller books.

This will be great for the older ladies at church to make for our church bizarre. I made one similar to this not long ago and they loved it. I added a scalloped lacy edge and some pockets on the outside so that they could put a pen, pencil, and maybe a tissue or some note paper.

My senior ladies are going to love this project! They all love working the old Ripple pattern from the 1970s, and they all have personal Bibles. The pattern is easy to follow and nicely illustrated. Best of all, theres a free downloadable .pdf that I can pass out to each of my senior students. I cant wait to see how their projects turn out!

This crochet bible cover would be greatly appreciated by all of us book lovers. This project does not have to be dedicated as bible covers. I am sure these would cover all types of books. This could be a way to spruce up that drab bookshelf and use up any left over yarn. Thanks for the pictures in the directions.

I've been browsing the web but this is the first time I encountered a bible cover pattern which is a good thing. This will make a practical gift for someone who reads the bible regularly to protect this holy book from everyday wear and tear. I want to make this in a different stitch, though as I don't find the ripple stitch appropriate for a small project like this. Or using ripple stitch but not in very wide waves. Thanks.
