Necessity being the Mother of Invention, I can fully appreciate the need for this designer to come up with a more portable version of a coaster. The only alteration I would make to this pattern is to create a slit several rows wide to accommodate a glass handle. I dont know about you, but I need that handle when Im carting around my sweet tea.
