Adorable. I love food crochet and donuts. I think this hot pad would get more use as a conversation starter than as an actual hot pad. My kitchen is where all the friends and family gather and I know I will have a zillion questions about it. I may even have a few that want one made for them.

I will take anything if it is donut themed or an actual donut. -) I have one idea on how I can improve on the design. I notice how they hang on the cabinet door, and they kind of twist and lose shape. I love things that are functional AND can be used as decor/art. So for me, I would much rather have my donut hot pad look good hanging on my cabinet door. I would make them double layered. Just do your solid color (donut color) on the back side as well!

Sara Sach from poshpoochdesignsdogclothes.blogspot.com is easily becoming one of my favorites. Her designs are really fun and different. This sprinkle donut hot pad is no exception. I think my favorite on her site is the hair roller hat. Great project.

These things are HUGE! They dont use a lot of yarn but arent quite scrapbusters either. These are so easy to work up as its just Double Crochet and increases, and the designer thoughtfully includes how many stitches in each round. Always helpful! I love that pillow that she made with this motif. Wouldnt that be fun in a teens room or breakfast nook?

Not exactly what I had pictured in my mind when I read sprinkle donut hot pad, but this idea is cute too. I see from the picture on the designers blog that she took this idea a couple of steps further and also made herself a sprinkle donut scarf and hat set to match.
