I enjoy working with motifs and I agree, they can be soothing to work with. the size of this one is pretty big. I am thinking this mandala's are a lot like what our moms and grand moms would create as a doily. Either way these are attractive and this is a beautiful design.

This is beautiful for your first attempt at making a mandala pattern. The inspiration must have come from after making all of the mandalas over the years. I have to be honest, I have yet to make one for myself. I read over the directions and it looks easy enough. This may be the first one I attempt to make.

I love home decorating patterns. This is a very pretty mandala with those combinations of colors. I really like that the designer also includes a stitch chart to follow along with the written instructions. I have found that stitch charts are usually more accurate than written out patterns and they translate so well.

Very pretty and the way it's written, it's very easy to follow. I have a sister in law this would be a perfect gift for. She has hand made things thruout her home, but she always buys them. I think this, maybe in a set of six with a matching center piece would be great. I just need to keep working the pattern to enlarge it.
