Waves of Warmth Slouch

Crochet slouch hats are so popular for the fall and winter, and the Waves of Warmth Slouch hat pattern is no exception. Use a variegated yarn to work up this fun crochet beanie and add some bright, warm colors to your darker winter wardrobe.

From the blogger: "This slouch is a simple pattern that allows the beauty of this yarn to show through. The yarn is Red Heart Unforgettable Waves and I love the different textures within the yarn and how the the rolled out. The hat is sized for child, youth and adult and I added curly ties for something different, but of course you could add pompoms, tassels or nothing at all. The hat has a medium slouch but the pattern tells you how to adjust it if you want more or less slouch too!"

This looks like the kind of hat patterns I prefer for myself. I just like slouch hats. I have a big head (no not conceited), thick hair and I need a hat to cover both plus my ears to stay warm. Crochet hats work up quickly and this one has the colorful yarn. I like colorful hats because people can find you easier in a crowd. I guess I have lived too long in cities - lol. Thanks for the pattern.

I'm starting to feel like an idiot. I have tried many times to get the pattern Waves of Warmth Slouch hat, but can't figure it out. I really like the hat.

Hi there! To get this free pattern, simply click the link above that says "Click here for free pattern" to be taken to the blogger's site. From there, just scroll down until you see the pattern text. :) Julia, AFC editor

I would like some help or some suggestions on how I can access this pattern. I tried clicking the link provided, which most times I never have issues with, and it came up "harmful website blocked". Then I tried using the link with the designer, and I looked up the pattern on her list- clicked on the link. Same thing happened. Where can I get this super cool and cute slouch hat pattern? Anyone?

I too prefer this style of hat to traditional toques. I like the control it gives you around the band. letting you decide how snug you want to wear it. The dc stitches used gives it airflow that you wouldnt have with smaller, tighter stitches. This makes it great for milder winters.

The thing I really like about this bonnet style of hat is that is doesnt constrict around your face. I have a very round face, so some hats seem to fit just a bit too snuggly and I wind up looking like a ball. Not a problem if all Im doing is shoveling snow or running out to feed the bunnies, but not a look when Im going to the store.

This is such a stunning hat! The variety of colors are really pretty and will allow this hat to match with just about anything. I also like how slouchy it is.

It's never too early to start thinking about the colder weather! It's going to be here before we know it and you don't want to be unprepared for it! One of the great things about this hat pattern is that the finished item will not squash or flatten your hair, like so many hats do in the colder months. It's soft and squishy with lots of give, but also very warm! What colour would you make yours is?
