"Thystle is a free crochet hat pattern that is very on trend right now. Combining simple single and treble crochet stitches creates an interesting textured fabric similar to the puff stitch, without all the extra work. The pattern has instructions for teen/adult size, but you can easily adjust it bigger or smaller by changing the hook size. Try it in a solid color, two-tone, or stripes, whatever your personal style is. Just have fun with it!"

Most hat patterns are so similar that its hard to find one thats truly original. This one most definitely ticks all the boxes for that! Im familiar with the stitch sequence that the designer uses for the body of the hat, but just reading through the instructions, I cant figure out exactly where the Button Flap comes in. There arent any photos to use as a guide either.

What a smart looking beanie, with clean lines and a classic design-with a modern flair! If that makes any sense to you -) I am saving this one to my queue for later use. There are lots of slouchy beanies on the internet but fitted beanies are few and far between. Those buttons are adorable.

This is going to be one of my favorite stitches. I saw it on another project and fell in love with it. It looks like a popcorn stitch but it's easier and doesn't use as much yarn. I like finding unique stitches and this is one. Thank you for sharing it.

Isn't it amazing what you can do with the same basic stitches? Just by arranging them in different configurations, you can get completely different textures and looks.
