Tasha Tunisian Hat

"Tunisian crochet is the type of crochet you should be doing if you love texture. It’s the middle-ground between crochet and knitting and gives you the best of both techniques. In this beanie design, the Tasha Hat, Tunisian crochet is used to show off all the texture you can create with just a couple simple Tunisian stitches. You may sell all finished products made from this pattern; however you may not share, sell, or distribute this pattern in any way, in whole or in part. I would greatly appreciate a link back to my shop or this pattern anytime you sell this item online."

This Tasha Tunisian Hat is so nice looking. The written pattern is well done and easy to understand and follow. I made two using two different size hooks. A H and a I hook, both came out a little small. My Granddaughter loves them, just as I enjoy the Tunisian crochet. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet hat pattern.

For this project, you only need to work two Tunisian stitchesthe Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) and the Tunisian Purl Stitch (TPS). They arent difficult, and the designer provides links to a couple of different tutorials (both are excellent). The entire project is worked flat, and I really like that the brim is worked directly onto the body. I love that texture pattern on the brim! I might add that to some other hat patterns I have.

She looks so darn hip (and cute!) in her hats that she proudly designs. I know the pattern says you can use any worsted weight yarn you want, but how about staying away from a budget yarn for this one. I think it is too nice and too special to use just any old yarn. I would LOVE to see this in the Lion Brand Jeans yarn and color block it, maybe in a couple of different shades of the denim.

I love the idea of using the denim. This would be so cute with jeans.
