"This crochet hat pattern is very simple.This crochet ribbed hat pattern is quick and easy to work up.It makes a great beginner pattern too.The ribbed effect comes from working only in the back loop of each crochet stitch. Also, the size can be worked as desired,for a baby and adult size.You just need to change the starting number of chain stitches(which forms the height) and the length(which forms the circumference) of the cap. Materials Used:- 8 ply Acrylic Yarn 5mm Crochet Hook"

I am not sure how it works at your house but I always have one out of the bunch that looses a hat and right at the moment it is really needed. I like to have a simple cap like this on hand either in the car glove box or in my purse for just such an occasion. It never fails and I always have a spare. You know what, the spares never get lost. Maybe I am doing this all wrong.

The texture on this cap makes it look like it is a knit project. I really like projects that have a lot of texture. When the item is crocheted in a single color, the texture pops out of the design. It does not matter what yarn is selected, this will be a handy cap to the wearer.
