Well, the mystery of what kind of yarn is used just got even more confusing. In the comments section of the crochet blog, you will see that someone asked the question should I use Peaches 'n Cream yarn (a stiffer cotton) or the "I Love THis Cotton" by Hobby Lobby? The answer- either one of those yarns would work but neither of those yarns will work because the pattern calls for a DK weight and those are worsted weight. Well!?

Can you tell me how to set the brimlock? Can you use the oven or ....?

with the brimlock there are end caps that set it. I had to ask the store worker for this info.. Hope this helps?

I was selecting the yarn for this hat but notice that their is regular and cotton. Did you use the cotton yarn or regular. thanks for the reply, I am very anxious to knit this hat as I live in hot Arizona. Patricia Simpson

Hi, Thanks for your message. I believe either yarn (cotton and regular) would work just fine for this pattern; it's a personal preference :) I hope this helps! -editors of AllFreeCrochet
