"This is the first hat I created and made it 3 times before it came out the way my minds eye seen it. I seen a how to for the loops and thought wow I need a hat using that. And created this pattern. My hat is 38 rows around and is 8 inches tall with the brim. This is worked flat then seamed closed, with the closing of the hat added then the brim is done."
Crochet Hook4.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Finished SizeMy finished hat with the band is 38 rows around, 8" tall and 21" around

The reason the instructions are written into this post is that the above link appears to be dead. That is really too bad because the instructions in THIS post are confusing at best. The formateverything squished together into a single paragraphdoesnt help either. I love how the hat looks but I will have to seriously think about whether to expend the time and patience to sort this pattern out.
