Ive worked rolled and folded brimmed hats before, but theyre the conventional knit look using Post stitches. I really like this alternative way of forming the brim. It does give a distinctive look to what could be an ordinary hat. If you worked the brim deeper than the original, it would almost look like a Russian fur hat. You could enhance the look even more if you wire brushed the brim.

Here is the perfect hat for the guys in your life. If you like to make and donate hats to charity, do not forget about the boys and the men. They need a fashionable hat, too! Now, a red hat with black trim around the brim would look very smart, too. Kind of reminds me of a buffalo check flannel shirt that you see outdoorsmen wearing- right? It is seriously EASY to make!
