Felicity Hat Pattern

search

"The Felicity Hat is a beautiful and comfortable hat that is worked from the bottom up. We begin by working the hat band back and forth in rows and then the main hat body is added right to the band. This hat is worked as one piece from start to finish and it is shaped to follow the top of the head. The hat is tapered to fit to the curve of the head so there is not a lot of extra fabric or weight pulling on the back of the hat. Soft, comfortable and intriguing with it’s changing crochet stitch pattern, this lovely hat is sure to make a statement in your Fall Wardrobe. If you love the design and would like to make a matching scarf to go with it, I have a pattern for that! It is linked in the Felicity Hat post on my website and it is also available for free. The hat takes 1 ball of Red Heart Colorscape Yarn. If you want the scarf to match it also requires 1 ball of the yarn. I have included instructions in the notes in the sizing section of the written pattern to explain how you can make this hat larger (for an Adult Large size) and smaller (for a child/toddler size)."

This hat is one of the prettiest Ive come across this season. The initial instructions are for a small adult or teen, but the designer gives notes on how to enlarge or decrease the final project. As with most banded hats, its worked from the bottom up. There are a few Special Stitches but these are explained within the text as well as provided links.

I am blown away by the look of this hat! And to find out there is a matching scarf that can be made to go along with it makes it the perfect gifting set for the holidays! Only requiring 2 skeins of yarn for BOTH you cannot go wrong here. I am loving the colorway shown, so my only "complaint" is the fact that she does not actually state what colorway she used for her sample!
