"A warm slouchy hat, worked from the brim to the crown in rounds, this eliminates sewing seams and gives a nice finish, it’s an easy stitch to memorize and can be made in a day, I have used buttons to decorate the brim, but this is optional. Make in the appropriate colors to go with any outfit, there is lots of slouch to put your hair into on bad hair days. it can be worn by both male or female."
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)

This is definitely an easy hat to work up, and the oversized buttons really make the project! I have to confess though, that I tend to shy away from Brim Upward because I have problems matching the sides of the rows to the proper number of stitches for the body of the hat. I have the same issue when working a border around a washcloth, too, so Im sure the problem is with me, not the designer.

Uber cute star buttons. Great embellishment for this easy slouchy hat. The colors are very warm and inviting. A great accessory to have in case of an emergency such as a bad hair day. I just saw the blue version of this hat also with its little flue stars. I think I am into that color better. Looks great.
